Encourage a good night’s sleep before testing days.

Make sure students eat a healthy breakfast.

Help them arrive at school on time and ready to go.

Offer encouragement and remind them to do their best.

Review practice questions and test-taking tips together.

Parent, Student, and Teacher Guides are also available and include helpful test-taking tips, objectives, and practice questions.

Building Perseverance in Explore

This week in Explore, students put their perseverance to the test with fun and challenging toothpick activities! Working through trial and error, they designed and built creative structures while learning the importance of not giving up when things didn’t go as planned. These hands-on challenges helped students practice patience, problem-solving, and determination, which perfectly align with our character word of the month, perseverance.

Penny Drop Lab: Exploring Surface Tension

Recently, students in science class conducted the Penny Drop Lab by counting how many drops of plain water and soapy water could fit on a penny. They discovered that plain water holds more drops because cohesion allows water molecules to stick together, creating strong surface tension and forming a dome. When soap was added, it disrupted those bonds and weakened the surface tension, causing the water to spread out and resulting in fewer drops staying on the penny.
