The CUE celebrated testing kick-off with an assembly that brought excitement, fun, and lots of laughter! Thank you to the Collinsville Band, Grady Mercer (Team USA Bobsled Pilot), & Mrs. Dixon for making our pep-assemblies special!

We sure enjoyed our Spirit Week as we geared up for State Testing:

Congratulations to our CUE Cardinal of Characters for respect:

There are so many reasons to LOVE the CUE! Here are a few from our parents and families:

"We love the CUE because the staff is always so friendly & welcoming. We know our child is learning how to be the best version of herself everyday!" -The Kalbe Family

"We love the CUE because the teachers & staff are devoted to creating a welcoming & engaging community for our students. They are the reason we love being Cardinals!" -The Ford Family

"We love the CUE because the teachers care, the environment is safe and welcoming, & my children come home happy & excited about what they're learning. It means everything to know they're supported, challenged, & part of such a positive community!" -The Keim Family

"We love the CUE & how it has helped our son learn & develop. We can see him growing in executive functioning, planning and organizing, responsibility, & study skills. We are most thankful for his teacher who invests above & beyond to help her students grow!" -The Kelley Family

"We love the CUE because of the positive & welcoming learning environment the teachers create daily. They care about their students & strive to make learning fun & engaging. Our child feels supported, encouraged, & excited to go to school!" -The White Family

"We love the CUE because it strikes a perfect balance between strong academics & genuine care. The teachers go beyond simply delivering lessons-they take the time to understand each child's strengths, challenges, & personality!" -The Lewellyn Family

Mrs. Winnie,

How long have you been at Collinsville?

This is my first year as a Collinsville Cardinal and I am so grateful to be a part of this community!

What is your favorite thing about teaching?

My favorite thing about teaching is getting to work with the students and watch their growth throughout the year! They make so much academic and personal growth through the year, and I love getting to celebrate those moments with them!

What is something funny your students have said?

My students always keep me on my toes! Although I can't think of something specific to share, I know they are always making funny comments or asking silly questions. I really never know what to expect from them!

What is your favorite treat?

My go-to treat is a Pepsi Zero and Hot Cheetos :)

*The CUE has been such a welcome place this year! I am so grateful for the school and community for embracing me as one of their own! I can't wait to see what next year brings!

Mrs. Lamb,

How long have you been at Collinsville?

This is my 3rd year at the CUE.

What is your favorite thing about teaching?

I think it is fabulous when a student says, "This is way easier than I thought it would be," especially in math, since we are learning concepts with multiple steps.

What is something funny your students have said?

It always makes me laugh when a student calls me Grandma or Yaya because who doesn't love a grandma?

What is your favorite treat?

A brownie fudge sundae (with no nuts).
