For this spotlight, we will be featuring a new staff member at the school!
This is Mrs. Shilling, and this is her 1st year at Collinsville Middle School!
Where did you teach before coming to Collinsville?
At Epic, Claremore, Union, and Collinsville too. In fact, my first 6 years of teaching were here at Collinsville.
What are your favorite hobbies out of school?
My favorite hobbies are: Reading, gardening, wood work and creating new things.
What do you like about Collinsville?
It’s home! I graduated from Collinsville, taught here way back when, and I am so glad to be back.
What do you like about teaching?
I love the students. My favorite thing is seeing the moment where they smile in pride when they’ve accomplished something they have worked so hard.
If you could move to anywhere where would it be?
I would move to a lake house so I can drink hot tea and watch sunrises and sunset over the lake from my back porch.
