TEACHER FEATURE

For this spotlight, we will be featuring a new staff member at the school!

This is Mrs. Simpson and this is her 3rd year at Collinsville Middle School!

 

Where did you teach before coming to Collinsville?

I did not teach.

What are your favorite hobbies out of school?

I like to go camping and Razor riding. 

What do you like about Collinsville?

I like that it is a family town and it has a small town feel. 

What do you like about teaching?

I like that teaching is that every day is a new day and something is always fun. 

If you could move to anywhere where would it be?

I would move to the middle of nowhere. 

 

Shoutout to our CMS Leadership students for helping run our school-wide canned food drive. The drive lasted two weeks, and each student was encouraged to bring in two cans. 

Our CMS School Goal was 1,500 cans.

CMS COLLECTED OVER 2,926 CANS!!!

Thank you for your hard work and support.

 

Shoutout to the CMS FCCLA students who competed & placed in the FCCLA District STAR Events on Thursday, November 13, 2025. They competed in Creed Speaking, Children’s Literature, and the New Member FACTS Test. 

Great job, ladies—thank you for representing CMS FCCLA so well!

As temperatures drop and everyone starts to layer up, Thanksgiving is creeping closer. Make some room for the upcoming feast and remember to be thankful for the things you have.
