Hello April!
Welcome to our first four-day week of school! Virtual days are starting this week, so make sure you are prepared and ready to learn from home when needed. We hope you have a great week and enjoy the change of schedule!

Summer Camp Opportunities:

 

 

 

6th- 12th Grades 2nd Semester Spring 2026 Test Exemption Plan 

 
 

OSTP Assessment Information: (Bring Chromebook Fully Charged)

April 14th: 7th & 8th Grade ELA State Test (All students will report to the middle school 1st hour. No 1st hour Athletics, Ag, or Band.)

April 15th: 8th Grade Writing Test (All 8th Grade Students will report to the middle school 1st hour. 7th Grade students will follow their normal schedule.)

April 28th: 7th & 8th Grade Math State Test (All students will report to the middle school 1st hour. No 1st hour Athletics, Ag, or Band.)

April 29th: 8th Grade Science State Test (All 8th Grade Students will report to the middle school 1st hour. 7th Grade students will follow their normal schedule.)

TEACHER FEATURE

For this spotlight, we will be featuring a new staff member at the school!

This is Mrs. Shearer and this is her 5th year at Collinsville Middle School!

Where did you teach before coming to Collinsville? 

I did not teach anywhere previously.

What are your favorite hobbies out of school?

Spending time with my family.

What do you like about Collinsville? 

The people and the atmosphere.

What do you like about being an teacher?

Getting to know all of the students.

If you could move to anywhere where would it be? 

Somewhere warm all the time.

 
 

Shoutout to CMS 8th Grade STEM for competing in the Regional SeaPerch Competition on Saturday, March 28th! Out of 24 teams, our students placed 5th, 6th, and 9th. Great job representing CMS!

Shoutout to our 7th grade students for enrolling and choosing their electives for next year! Way to go, future 8th graders—exciting things are ahead!

 

Shoutout to Kent’s Custom Cars for their generous donation, helping provide El Jalapeño’s for our staff during Parent/Teacher conferences on Thursday, April 9, 2026! We truly appreciate your support!

 

Enjoy your four-day week! As state testing begins, make sure to stay focused, do your best, and take your time on each question. Remember to stay quiet, follow directions, and show what you’ve learned. Good luck!
