The vision of Collinsville Alternative School is to create a safe and supportive learning environment for students who are at risk of not succeeding in the traditional educational setting. We aim to educate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds, helping them become successful and productive members of the community. Our approach values the knowledge, expertise, and unique strengths of both our educators and students.
Food delivery services - To prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, we will no longer permit food deliveries from restaurants or food delivery services, such as Uber Eats, GrubHub, or DoorDash. This decision stems from our commitment to ensuring a secure environment for all students, as delivery personnel are considered outsiders and, therefore, should not engage directly with minors.
Personal wireless devices - Collinsville Board of Education has adopted Policy 4.37. This law will officially take effect in the 2025-2026 school year, establishing a requirement for students to refrain from using personal electronic devices throughout the instructional day. This includes cellphones, smartwatches, headphones, laptops, tablets, and smart glasses; however, school-issued devices, such as Chromebooks used for educational purposes, are exempt from this restriction.
Attendance - Regular attendance is crucial for student success at CAS. If your child will miss school, please email Mrs. Brown at michellebrown@collinsville.k12.ok.us.
Friday School - Students may attend school for two hours on Fridays to make up assignments and excuse one chargeable absence for the week. Friday School hours are from 10:45 am to 12:45 pm or from 1:45 pm to 3:45 pm.
